গালিবের চ্যালা

বুকে স্টেথো, হাতে ইনসুলিনের সূচ
একাকী রাত জাগি,প্রহর গুনি
নিষ্পলক জেগে রই,নিকষকালো রাতে,
সভ্যতার সাদা-কালো বিছানো চাদরে,
বাসর সাজাই,শূন্য ঘরে আমি গালিবের চ্যালা।
হুইল চেয়ারখানি হাতে চাকা ঠ্যালা বড় দায়
বেড়েছে ওজন শত জন্মের, কুড়ানো সে পাপ
উত্তাপে ফেটে যায় দিবালোক, চৈত্রের আকাশ
সাজাই বাতাস আমি বনফুল দিয়ে,একা আমি
বেদুইন তাঁবুতে আমি,একা গালিবের চ্যালা।
নিষ্পাপ পাথর মাথা কুটে মরে মনে পাপবোধ
দংশনে নীল হয় শিরাউপশিরা, ক্ষতের গভীরে
উত্তাপ ধরা দেয়---কোনও প্রান্তদেশ শুধু মায়াজালে
ছড়িয়েছি শস্যদানা কোনও অবকাশে ধরণীতে
পথ খুঁজি একা আমি সেই গালিবের চ্যালা।
Galib's disciple

I wake up alone at night with the stetho
In the chest and insulin needle in the hand.
I count the hours and keep awake without a blink
In the dark night, in the black and white sheet
Of civilization.And decorate the bridal chamber.
I am Galib's disciple in the empty room.
It is hard to push the wheel chair's tyre by hand,
The weight of hundred births has increased.
The daylight gets burst with the heat of gathered sin.
Like the wind I furnish the sky of April
With the flowers of forest.
Alone I am in the tent of gypsy,
Alone I am as the disciple of Galib.
The innocent stone cuts its head and dies,
The sin is in the mind.
The veins turn to be blue for stinging,
The heat is felt deep in the wound.
Some border land I am and scattered illusively
The grains in this world
In time of recess.
Alone I am looking for a way
The disciple of that Galib.
